Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Associate Attorney specializing in Employment Defense to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employment law and litigation, with a focus on defending employers in various employment disputes.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in employment law cases, including litigation and negotiations.
- Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery materials.
- Conduct legal research and analysis on employment law issues.
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on compliance with employment regulations.
- Prepare for and attend hearings, arbitrations, and trials as necessary.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys and other team members on case strategy and development.
- Stay updated on changes in employment laws and regulations that may impact clients.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice law in the state.
- Experience in employment law and litigation, preferably in defense.
- Strong understanding of EEOC regulations and NLRB processes.
- Ability to handle class action wage and hour cases effectively.
- Familiarity with labor union issues and negotiations.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and communication skills.
- Nice to have: Experience with U.S. Department of Labor and California Department of Industrial Relations regulations.
